The Park and Tree Commission makes recommendations to the City Council regarding the use, maintenance and development of all city parks, and supervises the oak wilt control plan. It also supervises the shade tree program, which seeks to safeguard the urban forest from both natural and man-made hazards. The Park Commission was established in 1982.
The Park and Tree Commission meets the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall. Anyone wishing to be included on the agenda should contact City Hall.
You can watch it LIVE on Cable Channel 16 or it is played back on the Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday following the meeting at 10:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.
