Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 13 is the Data Practices Act.  This act presumes that all government data are public unless a state or federal law says the data are not public.

Minnesota law requires the adoption of certain policies and procedures pertaining to data privacy.

In 2001, the Ham Lake City Council adopted Resolution No. 01-59, a public document on the Data Practices Procedures.
