Recycling Days at City Hall
The city offers several recycling events for residents each year. Some events are held at City Hall, and some are held at Recycle Technologies in Blaine. Watch for announcements in the city newsletter for dates, times, acceptable items, and related costs. Events at City Hall are scheduled for May 7, 2022 & September 10, 2022.
No garbage or hazardous waste is accepted.

Recycle Technologies Drop-off Events
Drop-off events are also held at Recycle Technologies several times a year.
The collection event runs from 9 a.m. to noon and is open to Ham Lake residents. Items can be recycled for free by presenting your driver’s license and a coupon that can be found in the City’s newsletter.

Fix It Clinic & Paper Shredding Event at Columbus City Hall

Fix It Clinic
Want to get that much-loved item repaired free of charge? Join us at the Columbus Fix-It Clinic on October 1st and our fixers will try to fix your item. For details on what may be fixed, go to AnokaCounty.us/fixit or call 763-324-3400.
Paper shredding will be offered in conjunction with this event in the parking lot. Documents will be shredded on site in a mobile truck. Limit is up to three bankers boxes equivalent of paper per vehicle. Containers may be taken home.
It is not necessary to remove paper clips, staples, or rubber bands. Papers do not need to be separated from envelopes. It is not necessary to remove windows from envelopes. Books of checks do not need to be separated. Files can be left in folders. No three-ring binders, credit cards, or CDs will be accepted. Only bring confidential documents with your name, address or other protected information to be shredded.
