Recycling Events

Recycling Days at City Hall

The city offers several recycling events for residents each year. Some events are held at City Hall, and some are held at Recycle Technologies in Blaine. Watch for announcements in the city newsletter for dates, times, acceptable items, and related costs. Events at City Hall are scheduled for May 4, 2024 & September 7, 2024.

Spring & Fall Recycling Pricing 2024 

No garbage or hazardous waste is accepted.

FREE Reuse Event at City Hall

A Reuse Event will be held on May 5, 2024. The City, along with Anoka County, will be accepting reusable household items in the Reuse Tent located in the Ham Lake City Hall parking lot, on Saturday, May 4th from 8:00 a.m. to noon and again from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Residents can drop off usable sporting goods, household goods, furniture and more! Items will be offered free for the taking on Sunday, May 5th. There is no requirement to bring items in order to take items.  More information about this event can be found at   Questions?  Reach out to Anoka County at  763-324-3400 or email The weight of items taken by "shoppers" will be applied toward the City's 2024 reuse/recycling tonnage goal.

Recycle Technologies Drop-off Events

Drop-off events are also held at Recycle Technologies several times a year.

The collection event runs from 9 a.m. to noon and is open to Ham Lake residents.  Items can be recycled for free by presenting your driver’s license and a coupon that can be found in the City’s newsletter
