City Commissions

Planning Commission

The Planning Commission reviews, comments, holds hearings, and makes recommendations to the City Council regarding growth and development in the City and conformance to city ordinances. For more information please visit the Planning Commission home page.

Charter Commission

The Charter Commission is required to meet at least once annually. The City Charter, approved by voters and issued by the State of Minnesota in 1982, allows the City, in some instances, broader powers than otherwise granted by state law. Among other things, the voters have the right to initiative and referendum. For more information please visit the Charter Commission home page.
